Nefco Corporation—Total Tool, a NEFCO company, is seeking a Store Manager in Des Moines to oversee daily operations and develop a high-performing team while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will hire, train, and coach staff across Counter Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery roles, ensuring a safe and organized work environment and strong product knowledge for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience required.
• Experience mentoring and coaching a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to keep the team informed.
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage branch staff in Counter Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery roles.
• Foster a customer-focused environment through product knowledge and service standards.
• Maintain organized, clean, and well-stocked sales floor and warehouse.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and daily cycle counts.
• Monitor performance and recruit top talent.
• Lead by example in all store functions as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote employee development.

What You Will Do:

As Store Manager, you oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, leading and developing a high-performing team while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage branch employees in Counter Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery Driver roles.
• Foster a customer-focused environment through strong product knowledge, service standards, and consistent customer engagement.
• Ensure sales floor and warehouse are well-stocked, organized, clean, and operating efficiently.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and daily cycle counts.
• Monitor performance, address issues, and actively recruit top talent.
• Lead by example by performing all store functions as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote daily employee engagement and development.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm.

Requirements

What You Will Need to Succeed:

• Experience managing, mentoring and coaching a team of employees.
• 3+ years of previous management experience is required.
• Construction or industrial experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to keep your team informed and connected.
• Highly motivated.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
