Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced retail environment in Richland, MS.

This role focuses on hands-on training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise with a path toward Store Management. You will participate in hands-on assignments, receive structured learning, and, within 8–12 weeks, could progress into management based on performance and experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Live The Pledge and deliver WOW! Customer Service while guiding a store team.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive execution and performance.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize store profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure policies are followed, and uphold structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong, successful team.
• Take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences and resolving concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success.
• Complete management skills training and learn key aspects of store operations and AutoZone culture.
