Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop into a Retail Store Manager. This transitional role emphasizes leadership training, customer service excellence, and hands-on store operations.

In 8-12 weeks, you may progress into management based on performance and experience. The program focuses on Leadership Development, Communication Excellence, and Teamwork & Training, with rotations in all core store functions and exposure to P&L management.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
Flexible full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop leadership within the store team and deliver WOW customer service.
Communicate clearly with employees and customers to drive store execution.
Study monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
Support store operations with structured training processes and policy compliance.
Mentor and train employees to build a strong, successful team.
Lead customer service activities and resolve issues proactively.
Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
Complete management skills training to master store operations.
