Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team seeks a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop into a Retail Store Manager through hands-on leadership, customer service excellence, and operational mastery. This role emphasizes initiative, team development, and living AutoZone’s values as you progress within 8-12 weeks based on performance and prior experience.

MITs gain exposure to leadership training, store operations, and the company's culture, with potential promotion to management openings as opportunities

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Flexible full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a productive store team.
• Maintain clear communication with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Monitor monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Mentor and train team members to build a strong staff.
• Lead customer service initiatives and resolve concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
