Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company invites applications for its Assistant Manager Trainee Program in Virginia. This entry-level, 18–24 month accelerated track leads to an Assistant Store Manager role, with a 44-hour week and potential evenings/weekends.

You will learn operations, sales, finance, and leadership while driving customer service and store performance. During training you’ll build relationships with contractors and commercial customers, gain hands-on experience, and receive a clear career

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs., up to 70 lbs. on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Complete training consistent with established program.
• Support business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Complete store administration.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety and security.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints.
• Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
