99 Ranch Market in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Store Management Trainee (MIT) to join our team. The role includes training for 6 to 8 months and eventual assignment to a store department with responsibilities in SOPs, product knowledge, ordering and supervision.

The position offers full-time hours, a competitive hourly pay during training, and opportunities for growth within a large regional grocery chain, including coordination with store management and promotion planning.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years of experience in related fields, with at least 1 year in management or supervision.
• Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures and able to lift 25+ lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; willing to relocate if necessary.
• Willing to travel between stores for training.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with inventory management programs, Microsoft Office, IT retail, or SAP preferred.
• Bilingual English, Chinese and Spanish preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the department's SOPs, product knowledge, planning, ordering, organization and supervision after training.
• Manage daily department operations and meet company standards.
• Work with store management to design promotions and meet sales targets.
• Maintain product displays, ensure freshness, and keep shelves fully stocked.
• Order products based on on-hand inventory and delivery schedule.
• Receive poultry shipments and inspect quantity and quality.
• Control inventory movement (FIFO) and rotate stock; conduct physical counts.
• Familiar with local vendors and popular local products.
• Utilize label updating and price sign printing programs.
• Provide schedules to department employees and manage attendance.
• Support Human Capital Management including coaching and performance reviews.
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
