Job summary

99 Ranch Market is hiring for a Management in Training (MIT) - Meat Department Manager in New Jersey. This short-term program develops employees toward a Meat Department Manager role, with progression expected in 3–5 months based on performance and learning pace.

The role includes overseeing operations, customer service, sales, and inventory, with scheduled weekends/holidays. The position emphasizes leadership and hands-on training within a vibrant grocery environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience in the meat department or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Currently possess or have the ability to possess a Food Handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Meat department operation including product prep, display, inventory, and pricing.
• Ensure excellent customer service and address issues promptly.
• Drive department sales, manage costs and labor, analyze sales data.
• Use company system to track sales and perform monthly inventory.
