Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Manager in Training to support store leadership in sales, appearance and operations. This role emphasizes hands-on training to prepare for future store-level management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will gain experience in recruiting, coaching, and safety compliance.

You will participate in a structured development program and work with the management team to drive performance, training, and customer engagement across the store.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Work with district manager and store manager on recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging staff.
• Train new team members and handle performance evaluations; recommend pay increases.
• Assist in hiring by recruiting, interviewing and selecting qualified team members.
• Support store manager with safety training and policy compliance.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager; may schedule weekly customer calls.
• Maintain delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle; ensure store looks neat and organized.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities for improvement.
