Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to ensure cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the store environment both inside and outside. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help create a positive shopping experience for customers and a well-maintained workplace for staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning, floor scrubbing, trash removal, restroom sanitation, minor repairs, safety reporting, and assisting in stocking and parking lot upkeep.

Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent communication skills to implement policies and procedures, direct staff, and provide customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to uphold store appearance and hygiene standards.
• Sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubber to maintain safe surfaces.
• Empty trash and replace bags to maintain a tidy environment.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and breakrooms with stocked supplies.
• Wipe surfaces, counters, shelves, and fixtures for a polished presentation.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance (bulbs, minor plumbing, fixtures).
• Monitor safety hazards and report needs to supervisor.
• Assist in unloading trucks, stocking, or zoning merchandise as time allows.
