Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our store environment, inside and out. You will perform routine cleaning, operate a floor scrubber, and assist with unloading trucks and stocking merchandise.

The role requires attention to detail, basic repairs, and strong teamwork with flexible hours to meet store needs. A positive, proactive approach to maintenance will support a welcoming shopping experience for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent communication skills to implement policies, direct staff and assist customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Flexibility with hours: ability to work a 40-hour workweek with varied hours, days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the building interior and exterior.
• Sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubber to keep surfaces clean and safe.
• Empty trash and replace bags to keep the environment tidy.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and breakrooms, restocking supplies as needed.
• Wipe down counters, shelves, and fixtures for a polished presentation.
• Perform basic repairs (bulbs, minor plumbing, fixtures) and report hazards.
• Assist in unloading trucks, stocking, and zoning merchandise when feasible.
• Help manage exterior parking lot cleanliness and trash removal.
