Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our store environment, both inside and outside. You will perform routine cleaning, operate a floor scrubber, and assist with stocking and merchandising as time allows.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to maintenance, with opportunities to learn and participate in store initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail cashiering or supervision is preferred.
• Strong math and cash handling abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to store needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the store environment.
• Sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubber to keep surfaces clean.
• Empty trash and replace bags to keep a tidy environment.
• Disinfect restrooms and breakrooms and stock supplies.
• Wipe down counters, shelves, and fixtures for a polished look.
• Perform basic repairs (bulbs, plumbing, fixtures).
• Report safety hazards and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assist in unloading trucks, stocking, and merchandising as needed.
• Manage exterior cleanliness and trash around the parking lot.
• Participate in cross-training across departments and attend training programs.
