Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to uphold cleanliness and safety across store premises. You will perform routine cleaning, basic repairs, and assist with stocking and merchandising, ensuring a welcoming shopping environment for customers and a well‑maintained workplace for staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Demonstrated ability to thoroughly review and analyze information, identifying errors or inconsistencies to maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to implement policies and procedures, direct staff, and provide customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the interior and exterior.
• Sweep, mop, and run floor scrubber to keep surfaces clean and safe.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace bags to maintain tidiness.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and breakrooms, stocked with supplies.
• Wipe down counters, shelves, and fixtures to keep presentation polished.
• Perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs and minor plumbing issues.
• Monitor and report safety hazards or maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assist in unloading trucks, stocking, or zoning merchandise when possible.
• Keep exterior areas clean by managing parking lot trash removal.
