Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to ensure the store remains clean, safe, and well-maintained for customers and staff. The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to perform basic repairs, and proactive participation in cross-training and training programs.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years in retail cashier or supervisory roles, strong math and cash-handling skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail cashier or supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Ability to thoroughly review and analyze information to maintain high accuracy.
• Excellent communication to implement policies, direct staff, and provide customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication to convey ideas clearly.
• Ability to actively listen and provide thorough responses.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to uphold store appearance and hygiene.
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to maintain safe surfaces.
• Empty trash and replace bags to keep a tidy environment.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and breakrooms and stock supplies.
• Wipe down counters, shelves, and fixtures for a polished look.
• Assist in basic repairs like changing bulbs and minor plumbing issues.
• Monitor safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Assist in unloading trucks, stocking, or zoning merchandise when possible.
• Maintain exterior cleanliness and parking lot tidiness.
