Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Maintenance Associate at the Hamilton Township location to deliver a great customer experience while performing janitorial duties throughout the store. The role emphasizes cleanliness, safety and efficiency to present an attractive shopping environment.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work flexible schedules consistent with store hours. Compensation starts at $15.92 per hour with benefits as described in the store policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling per store policy.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms; replenish supplies.
• Clean, mop, sweep, scrub, wax, buff or vacuum floors as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely.
• Observe security standards and assist management as needed.
