Job summary

ShopRite in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Associate to deliver a great customer experience while performing maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the store. The role supports store management in keeping premises clean and sanitary and presenting an attractive environment for Customers and Associates.

The position requires the ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and work with cleaning agents, with full-time hours and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling containers as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and plumbing fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in all restrooms.
• Clean, mop, sweep, scrub, strip, wax, buff or vacuum floors as designated by Store Management.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Assist in training personnel when required.
