Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Maintenance Associate for the Mt Laurel, NJ location to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining a clean and safe store environment. You will perform janitorial duties, restock supplies, and ensure fixtures and floors are maintained to high standards.

The role requires stamina, the ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (50 lbs occasionally), and the capacity to interact positively with customers.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
• Stand/walk for full shifts; lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling as directed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures per store procedures.
• Replenish paper and soap in restrooms as required.
• Clean, mop, sweep, and maintain floors and areas per schedules.
• Stock and organize cleaning supplies; report equipment issues.
• Follow safety rules, protect utilities, and observe conservation practices.
• Coordinate activities with other associates for efficiency.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Dress and groom according to store policy and maintain a neat environment.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety throughout the shift.
