Job summary

ShopRite of Hazlet, Hazlet, NJ, is seeking a Maintenance Associate to deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. You will perform janitorial duties throughout the store and assist with general maintenance as directed by Store Management.

This full-time role requires the ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand for long periods, and interact with customers in a friendly manner while upholding safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Able to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work around cleaning agents and dust.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Able to cooperate with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling containers as directed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in restrooms as required.
• Clean floors and maintain a safe, neat store environment.
• Monitor supplies and assist with purchase requests.
• Operate equipment safely and report any issues.
• Maintain security and observe store rules and policies.
• Greet customers and provide prompt assistance.
