Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and customers at our Elk Grove store. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and deter theft while following company policy and safety procedures.

In this role, you will collaborate with store leadership and other teams to minimize shortages, participate in training, and uphold Ross's values of service, integrity, and respect across the store.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible command presence at entrances/exits and on sales floor.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and ensure safe egress.
• Greet Customers, assist with questions in a friendly manner.
• Build relationships with Store team and internal partners.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and incident reporting.
• Represent Ross brand and adhere to dress code.
• Monitor theft indicators and report to leadership.
• Assist with shortage reduction initiatives.
