Job summary

ShopRite of Medford is seeking a Store Detective to help deliver a safe shopping environment while protecting company assets. You will monitor store activities, perform surveillance, and deter theft with a professional approach. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and adherence to policy.

Required are strong English communications, physical stamina, and the ability to work varying shifts. The position pays $19.00 per hour and includes standard benefits; part of a larger Loss Prevention

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Stand/walk for full shifts; ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and interact with customers.
• Ability to Travel to multiple store locations if applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend customers, associates, and vendors for theft in a professional manner.
• Utilize loss prevention tools (e.g., Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize shrink.
• Maintain security of store assets and assist in investigations as needed.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Comply with all store policies, safety requirements, and cash handling procedures.
