Job summary

ShopRite - East Haven, CT is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and deliver a safe, high-quality shopping experience. You will observe customer and associate behavior, use CCTV and loss-prevention tools, and work with store leadership to address theft and security concerns.

The role emphasizes teamwork, excellent English communication, physical tasks, and flexible hours as needed to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English clearly.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for long shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Use Loss Prevention tools to identify and minimize loss.
• Detain Customers, Associates, and Vendors for theft as needed.
• Represent the Company in criminal actions arising from apprehensions.
• Assist in special investigations when assigned.
• Maintain store security and report policy violations to management.
• Greet customers and help locate items throughout the store.
