ShopRite of Edgewater Commons in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and ensure a safe shopping environment. The role involves monitoring Customer, Vendor, and Associate activity using CCTV and direct observation to minimize loss, while providing excellent customer service.

The position is part-time, offers an hourly wage of $18.00–$20.00 and requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work varying shifts with attention to safety and company

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs., and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel to various store locations, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention reporting and applications (Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize potential loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend Customers, Associates, and Vendors for theft in a professional manner in accordance with Company policy.
• Represent the Company in criminal actions as a result of apprehensions made.
• Participate in special investigations when assigned.
• Maintain security standards by staying alert and reporting abnormal behavior.
• Maintain the security of entrances and communicate with Store Management.
