Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Georgia to assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staffing, merchandising, inventory, and customer service. This role develops external candidates for future Store Manager positions and is limited in duration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposit controls, and store safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and stock handling per established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and model company procedures.
• Participate in store opening/closing and bank deposits.
• Maintain cash controls and security procedures.
• Ensure a clean, safe store environment and proper pricing.
