Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Georgia to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and store needs. This role is designed to develop external candidates for future Store Manager responsibilities within a fixed period.

You will assist in recruiting, supervising staff, ensuring pricing and display accuracy, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store that delivers friendly customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail operations or customer service preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of cash handling and pricing controls.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and audits.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Operate store in manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and cost control.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on deadlines.
