Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory control, merchandising, and store needs. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

The candidate will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory management, and ensuring store practices comply with company policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing according to established practices and manager direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and related paperwork.
• Follow prescribed ordering to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends, expenses and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines.
