Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture in the United States is launching a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program designed to develop in-store leaders through structured training, Thrive rotations, and in-person live training events. The SMT will support daily store operations at assigned training locations while preparing for a permanent Store Manager role.

Placement decisions are coordinated with the Home Office and Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License and must be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Completes all Farmers Academy training and Thrive Program rotations.
• Assists in day-to-day store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, and bookkeeping.
• Operates POS systems and assists with accounts approvals.
• May manage a store location in the Store Manager's absence and travel to training locations.
