Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is recruiting for the Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program sponsored by the Home Office (Corporate Office) to prepare and place individuals into a permanent Store Manager role upon successful completion.

The SMT program combines in-store operational training, online learning, role-based immersion, and live training events across locations to develop leaders who can manage sales, inventory, and store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years of supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• Valid State Driver’s License and ability to travel overnight.
• Strong leadership and operational skills in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day store operations, including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and office tasks.
• Operate POS systems and sales tools, process payments and store accounts.
• Support store management and participate in trainings and live events.
