Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is launching a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program in the United States. The trainee will undergo in-store operations training, online learning, role immersion, and live events to prepare for a permanent Store Manager role.

Participants will complete Farmers Academy, Thrive rotations, and three live training events, with potential placement based on performance, needs, and geographic availability.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Completes Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, live training events.
• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, and deliveries.
• Operates POS systems and customer payment processes.
• Assists with inventory, displays, promotions, and events.
• May work across multiple store locations and assist in store management in absence of a Store Manager.
• Travel to training locations and submit travel expense reports.
• Adheres to company policies and safety standards.
