Job summary

Boot Barn in Minot, ND is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales. You will coach partners, manage merchandising standards, and ensure store processes run smoothly.

You will help schedule, plan community events, oversee inventory, and uphold company policies while acting as a role model for professionalism and teamwork across the store team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Flexibility with scheduling and willing to work extended hours when necessary
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service and selling culture and build long-standing customer relationships
• Review goals with partners, provide coaching, feedback, and recognition, and be present on the sales floor during peak hours
• Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance
• Collaborate with Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs, manage scheduling, and assist with hiring and policy communication
• Assess and communicate localized customer needs to Store Manager
• Plan and execute volume driving events involving local community outreach
• Lead and coach associates in building customer engagement through the B Rewarded Loyalty Programs
• Ensure merchandise stock levels, presentations, and assortments meet customer needs and brand guidelines
• Accountable for markdowns, receipts processing, and inventory shrink plans
• Maintain knowledge across product categories and train partners
• Complete opening/closing procedures and enforce Time and Attendance policy
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company policies
• Demonstrate professionalism, communication, and teamwork
• Additional duties as assigned by District Manager or Store Support Center
