Job summary

Dollar Tree in Whitehall, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions and help organize, stock, and display merchandise while ensuring the store meets company standards.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment; you will also help train Store Associates and maintain a safe, respectful store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
