Dollar General Corporation in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, staffing, training and adherence to company policies. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, cash control and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing staff, directing opening/closing, analyzing performance metrics, maintaining safety standards and ensuring accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop staff.
• Knowledge of cash handling and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; address gaps or terminate when necessary.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate expectations; coordinate meetings to promote safety and policies.
• Open/close store reliably; lead opening at least two times per week and closing similarly.
• Analyze operating statements for trends, profitability and inventory control.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; manage BSR/cycle counts weekly.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise per processes.
• Present merchandise per standards; manage pricing, signage and fixtures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Ensure store security, cash controls and policy compliance.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized store environment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available to perform tasks.
• Follow SOPs and employee handbook; ensure compliance.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation on schedule.
