Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

You will lead a team of department managers and receivers, drive sales, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires 1–3 years of retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on inventory control, training, and performance development.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, staffing, and inventory management.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic bookkeeping/accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the culture in the store by modeling the leadership behaviors aligned to Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional customer experience by motivating and engaging team members.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (all Department Managers and Receivers) with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care.
• Motivate and develop the management team by embracing, leading, advocating, and modeling Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Drive sales growth and store experience through Educate and Enrich standards and strong item knowledge.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and ensuring products are fresh, labeled, and priced accurately.
• Manage P&L by controlling inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, labeling, and weights and measures standards.
• Lead Receivers and backroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Oversee displays and price changes, and communicate policy changes and new initiatives.
