Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager-in-training to support store operations, supervision of sales and service, and team development. The role focuses on hands-on training for future management positions, while coordinating with district and store leadership.

Responsibilities include staffing, safety compliance, scheduling, performance reviews, and customer engagement. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Responsibilities

• Supervise store and team members in professional and retail operations.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge staff with management guidance.
• Train new team members and perform performance evaluations.
• Assist in the hiring process and conduct interviews.
• Support store manager with safety training and compliance.
• Make sales calls and participate in weekly customer calls.
• Oversee delivery fleet and payroll/timekeeping systems (electronic).
• Review KPI dashboards, price matches and P&L with store manager.
