Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching partners, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role covers merchandising, operations, scheduling, and community engagement to achieve store goals while upholding Boot Barn's values and standards.

The position requires leadership in a fast-paced retail environment with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed customer expectations.
• Provide coaching and recognition of excellence; be present on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Assist with partner training plans to improve store performance in operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on scheduling, hiring, and policy communication with district/region partners.
• Plan and execute community outreach events and drive local engagement.
• Lead loyalty program engagement and help achieve individual and team goals.
• Maintain stock levels, visual presentation, and adherence to markdown and receipts processes.
