Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, oversee merchandise presentation, complete deposits, and support cashiering and stocking duties.

The role involves loss prevention, cash control, and adherence to policies. You may open/close the store several days weekly, train employees, lead safety meetings, and contribute to profitability and customer satisfaction.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, displays, and restocking.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and ensure merchandise presentation aligns with directions.
• Support cash control procedures; handle refunds, deposits, and cash reports.
• Assist in managing the store in the Store Manager's absence.
