Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with recruiting, interviewing and termination practices.
• Understanding of cash, facility and safety control policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Oversee staffing and ensure proper store opening/closing.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and control expenses.
• Manage inventory through ordering, BSR, and cycle counts.
• Ensure proper presentation, pricing and signage of merchandise.
• Maintain cash accountability and security practices.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized store.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation are completed on time.
