Job summary

The Children’s Place Inc. in Wilmington, North Carolina is seeking a Store Sales Manager to lead a store team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service while owning budgeting, scheduling, and daily operations.

You will recruit and develop top retail talent and ensure brand standards on the sales floor. You will monitor metrics, coach staff, and build a high-performing team focused on profitability and a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a specialty retail store manager in relevant traffic, volume, and unit intensity.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and retain top talent for store and district roles.
• Develop future leaders and maintain a diverse, high–performing team.
• Communicate goals and monitor progress against key business metrics.
• Coach and mentor staff to meet store and company goals.
• Model and reinforce exceptional customer service on the sales floor.
• Manage scheduling to optimize staffing and payroll to drive profitability.
• Direct floor sets, SOP adherence, and brand guideline compliance.
• Drive store performance through the Leader on Duty program and inventory standards.
