Job summary

Foot Locker in Palm Desert, CA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy and ownership, support the Store Manager, and drive sales while coaching the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

ASMs work hands-on on the floor, manage daily operations, and uphold safety and SOPs. This role requires leadership, adaptability, and a commitment to strong store execution.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customers.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Manage daily store operations, opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Follow safety, loss prevention and SOPs to protect customers, teammates and product.
