Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. The duties include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, and cleaning the store.

The role supports the Store Manager to maximize profitability while protecting company assets. The Lead Sales Associate will perform Sales Associate duties and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and basic math.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of planograms and merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, process purchases, and assist customers with merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves; build displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with floor duties.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of management.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
