Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on customer-first service, cash handling, and merchandising leadership to maximize store profitability.

You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support the Store Manager in daily operations. Responsibilities include supervising tasks in the absence of leadership, upholding safety policies, and maintaining planograms and displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training is preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash handling skills are required.
• Ability to read planograms and manage merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner, total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and follow planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and tidy restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
