Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Gallatin, TN to lead daily operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and adherence to company policies while driving sales, inventory control, and store execution.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling accuracy and the ability to optimize processes in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekend and variable shifts are expected to support store needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all store employees, plan and implement store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to policy and labor laws; ensure proper staffing.
• Train staff, conduct performance evaluations and address gaps with coaching or termination as needed.
• Set and communicate performance, safety and conduct expectations; lead safety and policy compliance.
• Open/close store on a rotating schedule; ensure store readiness at start and end of day.
• Monitor sales trends, expenses and shrink; identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee inventory planning, ordering and replenishment; manage stock accuracy.
