Job summary

Dollar General in Tennessee is seeking a Store Manager responsible for leading all store operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support to ensure excellent customer service.

You will recruit and develop employees, train staff, conduct performance evaluations, and manage payroll and scheduling, while maintaining store safety, compliance and financial integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Open and close the store at least twice per week.
