Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop store staff.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and company policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training; conduct evaluations; identify gaps for coaching or termination as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety, and policy expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure the store is staffed and opened/closed; open at least twice weekly and close at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends (sales, profitability, turn), expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Order to meet or exceed in-stock targets; review ordering plan, season direction, and cycle counts.
• Facilitate staging, stocking, and storage following company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage meet standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels; control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure store is equipped with necessary tools.
• Follow SOPs, handbook, and company communications; ensure compliance.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
