Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Florida to lead daily store operations, manage staffing, ensure inventory integrity, and uphold customer service standards. You will coach employees, review performance, and enforce company policies to drive sales and store compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in a retail setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps and counsels or terminates as needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, safety expectations; coordinates meetings to uphold safety and policies.
• Ensures store is properly staffed, opened and closed; meets staffing targets.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Manages stock by ordering and reviewing plans and cycle counts.
• Follows defined company processes to stage and stock merchandise efficiently.
• Ensures merchandise is presented per guidelines with pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory; controls damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Maintains financial integrity with cashier accountability and cash handling procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership.
• Keeps store clean, organized and safe for customers and staff.
• Equips the store with necessary tools and resources.
• Follows SOPs and documents per guidelines.
