Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead daily store operations, driving sales, controlling costs, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and compliance with company policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing staff, managing ordering, inventory, cash handling, merchandising, and safety, with a focus on achieving in-stock levels and sales goals while upholding high standards of store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to manage store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure store cash control.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising to meet targets.
• Open and close the store each day and maintain a safe, clean environment.
