Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead all store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will recruit and train staff, manage daily HR tasks, handle cash procedures, and optimize inventory and merchandising to meet sales targets.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and adherence to company policies, with a focus on safety and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff in line with laws and policies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, retail management preferred.
• One year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Strong cash handling and deposit control knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret documents; perform basic math with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Open and close the store as required and ensure proper staffing.
