Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, select and retain qualified employees.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and operate POS systems.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees; ensure store is staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, identify gaps and counsel as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably each day.
• Monitor sales, inventory, and ordering plans; manage stock targets.
• Ensure proper cash handling and cashier accountability.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and maintain a safe store environment.
• Follow SOPs and complete required paperwork.
