Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Anchorage to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dedicated team and delivering exceptional customer service. You will drive sales, coaching, and merchandising standards on the sales floor and in back-office operations.

You will oversee staff scheduling, training, inventory, and loss prevention while maintaining a positive, community-focused store environment that reflects Boot Barn’s values.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, actionable feedback, and recognition of excellence; lead on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain a continuous learning environment and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs; adjust schedules, support interviewing and hiring, and communicate with District/Region/Store Support Center partners.
• Assess and communicate localized customer needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute volume-driving events involving outreach to the local community/market.
• Lead and coach associates in customer engagement through loyalty programs; drive individual and team goals.
