Job summary

Caleres in Howell Township, NJ, seeks an Assistant Store Manager for a full-time role to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager. You will be a people leader, coaching a team to achieve sales targets and growth while delivering the best shoe store experience for the whole family.

You will manage daily operations, staffing, pricing, inventory, and training, applying insights to improve results and foster a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate and communicate with store associates.
• Train and develop associates to deliver engaging customer experiences.
• Demonstrates problem solving, analysis, and retail know-how.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connection and coaching of selling behaviors.
• Lead talent discovery and collaborate on interviewing/hiring.
• Oversee daily retail operations, pricing, shipping and inventory.
• Drive sales using location insights and performance data.
