Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead a Phoenix location. You will drive daily operations, oversee production, donations processing, and customer service while guiding a team of assistants, a production crew, and donation attendants to meet budgeted goals.

You will coordinate with the district team to implement strategic plans, monitor staffing, payroll, and expenses, and uphold brand standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in Retail Management, preferably thrift.
• One-year customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Coordinates with Retail District Manager to develop strategic plans to help drive donations.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Ensures store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Maintains regular in-person attendance and acts as a Goodwill ambassador.
• Transfers to different stores and covers shifts as needed.
• Ensures Team Members are well-trained and fulfill duties; Donation Attendants provide excellent service.
• Manages production team processes, pricing, and displays to meet store goals.
• Allocates donations, Team Members, and leadership to maximize area performance under supervision.
• Ensures compliance with company standards and procedures; supports training and development.
• Builds a high-performing team and leads performance management, staffing, and development.
• Drives culture change efforts and models Goodwill Core Values.
