Job summary

The Farmers Home Furniture SMT Program provides structured training to prepare associates for a permanent Store Manager role. Trainees gain in-store operations experience, Thrive Program rotations, and live trainings while supporting daily store functions in assigned locations.

Upon successful completion, candidates are considered for Store Manager positions based on performance, needs, and geographic availability, with placement coordinated by Home Office and Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of supervisory retail or sales experience.
• Valid State Driver's License and ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Complete Farmers Academy training and Thrive Program rotations.
• Attend weekly SMT check-ins and in-person live trainings.
• Assist day-to-day store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, and bookkeeping.
• Operate POS and store computer systems.
• Support inventory, displays, promotions, and sales events.
• May work at multiple locations or manage a store in SMT's absence.
• Travel to training locations as required.
